Workshops

Some activities will be available every week, others would be dependent on staff or weather.

Activities

  • Storytelling & theatre in story centre; local myth and legends about nature secrets; and dreams
  • Playing at/in the river
  • Assisting in farming activities: gardening, caring for animals (Sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens)
  • Collage making
  • Physical games (Skipping, Treasure hunts, Races, etc.)
  • Arts: drawing and painting
  • Hiking to the rivers, rocks and wild forest
  • African stories & music (djembe/rhythm) workshops
  • Model construction with Meccano
  • Conversation workshop: teaching English to Polish speakers, and Polish to migrants
  • Handicrafts: felting, herbal potions and ointments
  • Little library of English books

Practical

  • Every Week; hosts include Iwona, Michael, Peter, and Mathilde.
  • In bad/cold weather activities are inside in heated spaces.
  • Bring with you: suitable clothes/shoes, lunch/drinks.
  • Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate.
  • We do not ask for money, but we ask that parents share with us according to their abilities. You could contribute by giving a workshop, translating, baking a cake, bringing fruit or drinks, or supplying materials for handicrafts.
  • Please let us know if transport is a problem – we will organise something 🙂
